Snowmass Moonflower is a full Peruvian and exceptionally dense alpaca that has excellent bloodlines. Her dam is 5Peruvian Pichucha who was originally imported by Snowmass and her sire, Chaccu, was also originally imported by Snowmass. Chaccu is now owned by Cresent Moon, and is the sire of multiple champions. He is from the Puno region of Peru and his genetics are rare as he came from a state owned breeding program that does not release many alpacas for exportation. His fleece is extremely dense, yet fine, with tight uniform crimp. Chaccu has been called by both Jan Davis and Julie Skinner as the "densest alpaca" they have ever touched. Chaccu won Get-of-Sire at the AOBA national Show in 2001. This is a male who produces numerous color champions!
